Friday Nights at ELMO Pres

6th-12th grade students meet at ELMO Pres on the 1st & 3rd Friday of the month from 6-8 p.m.. We want every student to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ, discover their purpose, connect in community, and live out their faith. Join us on Friday nights for dinner, games, Bible study & discussion, and a whole lot of crazy!

 

Sunday Mornings with ELMO Pres Youth

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for Worship@10 on Sundays at ELMO Pres! Plus, we are always looking for music leaders and youth to assist in worship.

Worship & Prayer Saturated: We acknowledge the sovereignty of God in every moment of life and look to God alone for purpose, wisdom, and guidance. We believe in the power of prayer to bring change, healing and new life in Christ. Worship is not limited to the kinds of things we do when gathered together, but our very lives are an act of worship as we seek to glorify Christ in all things!

 

Faith Milestones

Faith Milestones exist to cultivate and commemorate faith development so we don’t forget God’s faithfulness. There are four Faith Milestones from 6th-12th grade:

Stewardship & Service

5th-6th grade students learn about stewardship, participate in Operation Christmas Child, and begin to assist in worship in various ways from reading Scripture to serving as ushers.

Roots of the Faith (aka Confirmation)

Students have the opportunity to explore redemptive history, important creeds of the church, and look at some distinctive doctrines of our denomination while developing a personal discipleship plan and fostering involvement in the body of Christ. At the end of the class, students affirm their faith/baptism (or choose to be baptized) during worship and have the opportunity to join El Montecito Presbyterian Church as a covenant partner.

Local & Global Engagement

Students explore their gifts, practice sharing their faith, and find a place to serve. They are encouraged to help lead an outreach event or participate in local or global ministries.

Graduation Celebration & Commissioning

12th grade students discuss how to have a flourishing faith in college and beyond as they explore apologetics and set personal discipleship goals. The commemorative event is a commissioning during worship followed by a celebration for all!
